We successfully managed two international virtual events.

The first one on 2020, under the name of the 1st International Congress "Sustainable Tourism in Times of Crisis". The main objectives of these events were to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in the various sectors of the tourism industry, promoting responsible and sustainable practices.

Strengthen collaboration between academia, tourism professionals and public and private institutions at the national and international levels, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

Consolidate the role of universities as key players in the country's tourism development, highlighting their contribution to research, training and innovation in this field.

In addition, an academic and scientific training day entitled "Tourism Trends 2024" was held, which brought together experts, academics and tourism professionals to discuss the advances and challenges in the tourism industry at the global level.

The event, scheduled for December 14 and 15, 2023, was organized by the State University of Milagro (UNEMI), Dresden University of Applied Sciences (FHD), the Society and Tourism Think Tank, and the National Federation of Provincial Chambers of Tourism.

These events not only provided a space for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, but also contributed to the strengthening of the collaboration network between the two universities and its impact on the tourism sector at the national and international level. It is especially noteworthy that the last congress had a record participation of more than 900 people, which reflects the great interest and relevance of the topics addressed in the academic and professional tourism community.
